Build the Proper Foundation for Your Law Firm
Solo and Small Law Firm Incubators
Law school didn’t teach us how to run a law firm.
Instead, law school taught us how to be lawyers (maybe, since there is debate on that).
At Springboard Legal, we will help teach you what law school didn’t – how to run your law firm as a business.
Grow Your Law Firm in 2025
Growing and scaling a law firm in this business environment is tough. But you do not have to go at it alone.
The professionals at Springboard Legal are here to help guide you through the struggles that all people-oriented businesses have – finding new clients, recruiting and hiring new staff, retaining existing staff, and managing the business finances and operations.
Our team has experience with all types of law firms, from solo lawyers and small law firms to large, multi-state and multi-practice area firms. We are here to help you, no matter what stage you are in.
What You Get with Springboard Legal’s Law Firm Incubators
We know that we learn and grow better as a community and with others in similar situations. Our incubators are small groups led by experienced facilitators and managed by our founder and attorney Kimberly DeCarrera.
Every month is focused on a different topic, with ideas and strategies that you can immediately implement in your law firm to help you build better foundations. This will enable you to grow (if you want) and to become more profitable (which we all want).
These meetings are designed for you to work on your business, not in your business.
We are here to help build your business. So these sessions are customizable to help you and the other firms in your cohort solve the problems that you are currently facing today.
Who Is Your Chief Law Firm Advisor?
Kimberly DeCarrera is an experienced attorney and chief financial officer. She has advised companies on legal and growth strategies for her entire career.
Kimberly currently advises business as a Fractional General Counsel and Fractional CFO. While running the Fractional GC + CFO business, she has also advised many law firms on how to successfully grow their firms, using techniques common in law firms, but also the other industries that she commonly works with.
Kimberly served as the Chief Financial and Legal Officer of a transportation company that went from $40 million to $120 million in annual revenue, and also tripled headcount while growing from one city to four cities. She learned valued lessons in how to diversify the customer base, the staff, and vendors to minimize risk.
She has also worked with accounting/CPA, law, and other professional service firms, marketing companies, construction companies, software providers, manufacturing and distribution companies, and even health care to improve their financial and business operations, leading to higher profit margins and happier customers, employees, and vendors.
If you wanted to hire Kimberly full-time for your company, you’d be looking at a hefty price tag. Probably more than you’d want to pay. But here is your chance to get to pick her brain to help build you the law firm of your dreams.
What We Do in the Law Firm Incubators
We will work together to define the strategy for your law firm, including goals and visions, operations, financial, and marketing and client acquisition.
These incubators are designed specifically with solo and small law firm owners in mind. We want to address the needs and concerns you have in your law firm.
What You’ll Learn in the Law Firm Incubators
Just a few of the topics that we will cover include establishing your law firm’s vision and goals, creating systems that work with you instead of against you, developing marketing strategies that you can execute on your own or with assistance, and how to grow to the next stage of your law firm plan.
Learn What Other Law Firms Are Doing
We are social people. We need to surround ourselves with other successful law firm owners and subject matter experts. That’s why we believe in learning with and from our clients. And our clients can learn from each other in exclusive online communities and workshops.
How Do I Know That I’m a Good Fit for the Law Firm Incubators?
Not all law firms are a good fit for the Springboard Legal Law Firm Incubators. So let’s talk about who is a good fit:
âś… You want to run a best in class in law firm
âś… You are committed to doing right by your clients, your staff, and your community
âś… An actual work-life balance is important and not just pay it lip service
âś… While you are interested in growing your law firm, you want to grow in a sustainable way that doesn’t leave you burned out or broke
âś… You are ready to show up and do the work that it takes to build the law firm of your dreams!
The Solo Law Firm Incubator is designed for an attorney working on their own with maybe 1-2 full or part-time non-lawyer assistants.
The Small Firm Incubator is designed for law firms with 2-3 attorneys and a handful of assistants. You have some staff, but you are still very much a small law firm.
If you are a larger law firm, you can still work with Springboard Legal. We offer customized solutions for larger law firms that aren’t suited for the solo and small firm incubators.
What Does It Cost to Join?
We have priced the solo and small law firm incubators to be very attractive and reasonable for law firms!
Solo Law Firms: $250 per month
Small Law Firms: $500 per month
For your investment, you get access to a small group cohort facilitated by a law firm expert who has worked to grow law firms and is experienced in group training and facilitation. You will have two monthly meetings together to work through the topics and materials, not only to hear about them but to actually implement them in your law firm.
You will also have access to a client portal with on-demand resources that are exclusive to Springboard Legal law firm clients. These resources include private podcasts and videos, trainings, and templates that will help build the law firm of your dreams.
What if I want more than what’s in the Law Firm Incubators?
The solo and small law firm incubators are designed as group programs. You’ll go through them with a small cohort of law firm owners that are at a similar stage and situation as you are.
But we also know that some law firms want more personalized attention. As a member of one of the law firm incubators, you’ll have access to great business mentors and resources within the Springboard Legal client portal.
You’ll also be able to book 1-on-1 time with your group facilitator and even Kimberly DeCarrera, our founder and also an attorney. As a member of one of our incubators, you’ll get a discount, making these experts available at a cost that is generally reasonable for solo and small law firms.
